Andrew Willis

Andrew’s specialist knowledge is in the area of corporate governance compliance and systems. A qualified solicitor, he has worked for City and regional law firms in corporate departments and has several years' experience of training lawyers in corporate law. He has accumulated over 10 years' board experience focusing on improving corporate governance as he passionately believes it is a pre-condition for achieving excellent organisational performance.

Andrew is currently a non-executive director of a foundation trust having served as its Vice Chairman for two years and until very recently chaired its audit committee; a position he held during a foundation trust application. His previous experience includes service on a teaching hospital board and with a large housing group in London. Andrew currently sits as an independent member of a housing group’s audit committee and is pursuing doctoral research at the LSE into the role of managerial and clinical incentives in driving NHS productivity. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics.
