The King's Fund library provides an oasis of calm in which to access its excellent resources, plus help from its unfailingly knowledgeable and helpful staff.

User involvement manager, King's College Hospital

The King’s Fund Information and Library Service is a unique source for information on health and social care policy. It is freely available to managers and leaders in health and social care, and anyone else working or interested in these areas. The service is staffed by a team of expert information professionals.

Anyone is welcome to visit our well-stocked library in central London, access our growing range of online resources, or contact our librarians with an enquiry about health and social care. There is no need to join, as we are not a membership library.

Our collection

Our resources cover policy and management of health and social care services rather than clinical issues and treatments. Our collection of informally published 'grey' literature and our coverage of Government documents, books and journals is unique.

We provide extensive literature on health inequalities, managing long-term conditions, NHS management, partnership working, public health, public involvement, race and health, social care, urban health and regeneration, vulnerable service users and workforce development.

Reading rooms

Our online reading rooms draw together resources from our library catalogue and other useful resources on key health and social topics.

Current Awareness Service

Our fortnightly Current Awareness Service lists new material added to our database, providing in-depth information on a wide range of fast-moving policy issues.

Links

Our comprehensive and constantly updated links section provides access to thousands of health policy and social care organisations and resources.

Health Management Specialist Library

We maintain the Health Management Specialist Library of the National Library for Health.
