Partners for Health in London

Partners for Health in London is The King's Fund's main funding programme.

The Partners for Health Programme is now closed to new entrants.  These pages give an overview of what we have supported and the approach taken.

During 2008 and 2009 we will be looking to extend our development work to support the improvement of services particularly in end-of-life care and maternity services.

We hope to learn how to build effective funding and development partnerships from the Partners for Health Programme and apply this to future programmes of work.

During 2008 we will also be re-thinking the best way of continuing our commitment to support research into Integrated Health.

Funding of around £1 million each year will be shared between four specific areas of work, selected because significant health needs are still unmet.

We want to become a more active partner by developing new ways of working across the four health areas identified. Development support, with a special focus on evaluation, is a key element of the Partners for Health in London programme.

Our expectation is that applicants will apply to the Partners for Health programme because their desire to learn, influence and improve health is as strong as ours.

We are interested in funding the following:

  1. Projects based on delivering a service in one of the following health areas:
  2. Research projects only, in the area of:
The integrated health area will be run slightly differently, but with the same aim: to improve services and share learning.

A specific challenge has been set for each health area. We are looking for projects that address one of these challenges, and we can fund costs of up to £150,000 spread over up to three years.
