In brief
The third event in the series of events on health and the Big Society, 'Nudging improvements in public health' covered the implications of the government's public health White Paper and the potential for nudge to prompt behaviour change on the scale required to meet the public health challenge and to encourage patients to make more informed choices about their health care more broadly.

Joining the Fund's Chief Executive, Professor Chris Ham, was Dr David Halpern, Director of the Cabinet Office's Behavioural Insights Team, Baroness Buscombe, Chair of the Press Complaints Commission and a leading member of the Public Health Commission established by the Conservative Party in opposition, and Dr Andrew Jones, Group Medical Director at Nuffield Health.
