In brief

On 4 November 2009, The King’s Fund hosted a debate on whether health and social care integration could be one way of helping the system cope with rising demand, demographic change and significant funding restraint.

The event was chaired by The King’s Fund chief executive, Niall Dickson, and speakers on the panel were: Lord Warner (former health minister and one-time director of social services for Kent County Council), David Behan (Director General of Social Care at Department of Health) and Chris Bull (chief executive of Herefordshire Council and Primary Care Trust).
