End-of-life commissioning

A breakfast debate

Date:
20 January 2011

In brief

In light of the White Paper reforms, GP commissioning, the ongoing funding challenge, and an aging population, effective commissioning of services at end of life is increasingly important. This breakfast event covered the early findings from The King's Fund's ongoing research into end-of-life commissioning followed by a panel discussion.

Presentations from the speakers

Joining the Fund's senior fellow, Rachael Addicott, was Tom Hughes-Hallett, Chief Executive of Marie Curie Cancer Care, and Chair of the government's Palliative Care Funding Review, Clive Bowman, Medical Director of Bupa Care Services and Simon Chapman, Director of Policy, Ethics, and Parliamentary Affairs for the National Council for Palliative Care.
