About this event

Commissioning has been significantly strengthened under the new system and has the potential to deliver better quality, patient-centred health care. Placing local clinicians in the lead for commissioning, supported at every step by NHS England, is the way to improve the safety and effectiveness of patient care. Effective clinical leadership of the highest quality is needed to ensure quality today while leading the transformation of services for tomorrow.

Professor Grant will set out the immediate challenges facing the NHS and the new role of NHS England in leading the service through these challenges, and there will be ample opportunity for questions and debate.
