  • I just wanted to say how impressed I was by the King's Fund response to the white paper. The overall message was bold and I'm sure there was much discussion of whether that was a good idea. I think it had to be said. My impression locally that GPs are tired and do not feel prepared for what is being asked of them. Many are concerned about inheriting deficits from PCTs.

    At least this is an interesting time to work in public health. I'm glad the King's Fund is stressing the importance of its continued role in the NHS.
