Approach

  • To engage medical students in the issues around medical professionalism in today's health service, we are running a series of roadshows around the country. The events will be held in partnership with the Royal College of Physicians, General Medical Council, NHS Institute, University of Liverpool and the Student BMJ.
  • Events will include a small group discussion, followed by a question time session with the panel, to allow participants a chance to exchange views with representatives from the partner organisations as well as taking part in a lively and interactive debate.
  • Attendance at events is by invitation only. Email Clare Bawden at  roadshows@kingsfund.org.uk for more information:
    • Cardiff University – 11 March 2010
    • Bristol Medical School – 13 April 2010
    • Sheffield University – 21 October 2010
    • Glasgow University – 11 November 2010
  • Although the events are invitation only, we have a facebook group – open to all – as a way of continuing the debate beyond these events, as well as acting as a portal to a range of resources on medical professionalism. If you don't already have a facebook account, sign up at www.facebook.com. You can find the group in two ways:
