Jo Maybin

Jo is on sabbatical from the Fund until autumn 2012. 

Jo joined The King's Fund in 2006. She conducts research and analysis on contemporary NHS policy developments, in particular around governance issues. In 2010 she co-edited a major review of NHS performance under the last Labour government and in 2011 led an analysis of the impact of the government’s reform programme on accountability in the NHS.

She holds a Sir Bernard Crick Fellowship in politics from the University of Edinburgh, where she is working part-time on a PhD that explores how national policy makers in health use knowledge in their work.

Jo previously worked as a social affairs analyst in BBC News. She has a degree in social and political sciences from Cambridge, and an MSc in political theory from the LSE.
