Senior Consultant, Leadership Development

Vijaya Nath is a Senior Consultant within the Leadership Directorate at The King’s Fund with significant experience in the design and development of innovative leadership programmes and of senior organisational development consultancy assignments. Vijaya joined The King’s Fund after eleven years of developing leadership strategy and associated activity for multi-professional leaders in the NHS from individuals to teams, ward to board, clinical and non-clinical.

Currently Programme Director of The King’s Fund's new Medical Directors’ programme and Successful Nurse Leader programme, she works on a number of The King’s Fund’s open programmes including Personal Impact & Integrity, Leadership for Senior Managers and Management for Consultants. She is also co-director of The Institute of Innovation and Improvement’s ‘Top Talent’ programme.

Vijaya has designed and delivered several bespoke clinical directors and board leadership programmes. In her previous NHS roles she has contributed to the design and delivery of high quality ISO Certified interventions and programmes including several clinical facilitator development programmes and strategic leadership development programmes for clinical leaders from a variety of surgical and medical specialities as well as leaders from clinical support services, in acute and R&D settings.

Vijaya is a successful developer and coach of leaders and their teams in both private and public sectors, within the UK and internationally. She is an  experienced facilitator who uses a highly interactive and inclusive style underpinned by a number of disciplines and accredited approaches. Vijaya holds an Honours Degree in Modern Languages, post-graduate qualifications in Education and current accreditation on a range of psychometric tools, lateral thinking and leadership approaches. She is an EMCC accredited coach with over fifteen years experience in supporting high performing leaders.
