At The King's Fund we are determined to do everything we can to support the health system as it seeks to improve. We want to use our expertise in shaping policy, transforming services and supporting leaders to help managers and clinicians drive up standards and deliver better value.

Shaping policy

Independent, expert research and analysis are at the heart of our policy work, informed by engagement and discussion with key players across the health system. Our ambition is that our policy and research activity should have a growing and measurable impact on both policy-makers and frontline services. We will continue to create ideas and insight through our own research, evaluation, inquiry, analysis and reflection. We will also seek to build on the constant exchange of experience and expertise focusing on key areas of interest.

Transforming services

Our health care improvement programme aims to find better ways of delivering care in practice. We work in partnership with health care teams and voluntary organisations across the country to pilot and evaluate new ideas and interventions that achieve measurable improvements in health care.

We help health professionals respond to the changing opportunities and challenges they face and work with whole teams to maximise their effectiveness and drive change, through our innovative and high-impact development support.

We have a diverse portfolio that includes leadership programmes, specialist networks, commissioned programmes and organisational development for individual organisations. We also work on national contracts to deliver system-wide change.

We offer a wide range of resources to help everyone in health care share knowledge, learning and ideas, including an extensive health management library and online resources.

Our highly regarded conferences and seminars attract leading speakers from the government, the NHS, and the independent and voluntary sectors, and our central London location is ideal for hosting private or business events.
