Patrick South

Head of Press and Public Affairs

Patrick South joined The King's Fund as Head of Press and Public Affairs in January 2010 and has more than a decade's experience of public affairs and policy work.

Before joining the Fund, he was Head of Public Affairs at Age Concern where he was responsible for its public affairs, media and campaigning output. Prior to that, he was Director of External Affairs at the Resolution Foundation, where he worked to establish the reputation of what was then a new organisation in the public policy arena.

This followed more than eight years at the housing charity Shelter, where he held a number of positions including Deputy Director of Campaigns and Communications and Interim Director of Policy. Patrick began his career in the civil service and worked as a Private Secretary to the Lord Chancellor.
